Hi everyone! I know I said that the second part would come last week but I’m a little bit unsatisfied by it, so I’m gonna redraw some parts. It’s still going to be out in a few days, but I’m very sorry for the delay!

One thing that I'm trying to do is to give the flat colors a very subtle "ambient shading" to make things look just a little bit warmer and 3dimensional. I tried a new shading technique with this image set! Since there was such a strong light coming from the window, I thought I could keep the base colors dark and then play with highlights instead of shading. It was a lot of fun! And it was cool to step out of my comfort zone with facial proportions and try something completely...

I tried something new with the lighting for this one and I think I like it! Instead of uniforming the lighting and colors, I tried to make the characters stand out as if a spotlight was pointed on them. I think it helps make the picture look more "fun" and pop! I really want to study light and color more...
