I've built a Red Riding Hood outfit for Frisk (can be used on the other girls) using various models - such as the hood from the Linkle model - and I'm happy with the results so far ^^
I'm not really the biggest fan of doing forest scenes (as I can't find the best way to make them blend in with the character models I use...

For the longest time, I would do the lighting by loading a black map in SFM, then adding in the lights to give me more control over the lighting. I've found it's easier to render the characters in front of a green screen and superimpose the background on said green screen so I can edit the characters independently of the background (which will make it easier to blur the background if need be).
