When brainstorming I like to work with a whiteboard to make sure the idea works in concept and the composition is strong. It saves a lot of time since I can be as messy as I want.

Characters and quote are from "The Little Prince" by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. If you haven't read it or even just seen the 2015 animated film I highly recommend it!

Transferring over the image onto normal printer paper and then using graphite technique to transfer to 400lb hot press watercolour paper.

Colouring is going by a lot faster now that I've figured out a working orange pallet. I know I should work on both characters at the same time, but having all the different coloured markers on my work table takes up way too much space.
