Movie-Of-The-Month!

I've chosen 'Elsewhen' as the movie-of-the-month for October! I like the story of this one very much, and I think you will as well. It was my first time working with Lauren, and she gave a very natural performance, making her character completely convincing in what can best be called unusual circumstances.

Returning

James Gordon, last seen in 'Please Stand By', returns in an upcoming film (the title of which I'm still working on).

Good to see James again, we had a smooth and easy shoot.

October?

Not sure what the movie-of-the-month for October will be, but I'm narrowing it down to these two films, 'Aztec' and 'Elsewhen'. The latter is completed, the former I'm sure I can finish before the end of the month. I'll wait a few more days and see if I can come to some kind of a decision.

I have (I think) a final edit on 'Elsewhen'. I'll send a link for the actors to view, and I'll let you know what they say as soon as they reply.

My latest shorts seem to require quite a slew of props. This one though, I think I'll keep under wraps for now. You'll see it in a short entitle 'Pantomime'.

Aztec

Looming down the line for me is this film, 'Aztec'. I've assembled a few props, now I need to assemble a cast. It's about an eBayer and a cursed item she's attempting to unload.

More on this as shooting progresses.

Elsewhen

So yeah, this actress and I finally got to work together. The short is called 'Elsewhen', and you will see it...elsewhen. Not sure if it will be the October movie of the month, or some time down the line. We'll see.

But editing's almost done and I should have a trailer out forthwith.

Aztec

Came up with a quickie idea the other day, fleshed the script out, and now I need to get this thing shot RIGHT NOW!

So, I'm postponing a project I was working on to get this one done. Sometimes you have to get the hot ideas out!

Amazon

No, you can't order this book. This is a mock screen I did for an upcoming short film. I'm going to reach back and pat myself on the back for this, I think it'll look pretty convincing for the brief moment you'll see it onscreen. Just adding verisimilitude.

So what's next?

I guess I need to decide what the September movie-of-the-month will be. September will be here quicker than I want - which means the start of fall!

I'll make up my mind sometime early next week, and make an announcement then.

Technique

Every actor has their own method for learning lines. An actress I just used liked to copy the script by hand, highlighting her lines.

Interesting technique. It worked for her, she was on point with her lines!
