Back in the day, I drew a LOT of Sonic...a LOT.
With this one, I wanted to make a pic like a big ol Sonic comic cover with all kinds of details and the characters interacting with one another after a huge battle. These examples show the rough sketches, and eventually the more finalized line art.

Character heights are always just a tiny bit of a problem for me sometimes, Melanie is quite a bit taller than Schooly, but I didn't want her TOWERING over her. Schooly is actually a pretty small character along with Shelly and Zax...perhaps I should try out that "heads tall"...

Heres another recent pic from dA.
This was a client commission where I drew S Tails and Fiona Fox at the laundromat...and they decided to throw ALL their clothes in...including the shirts off their backs. ...And undies as well.
