Sometimes you can pace a scene pretty differently just by changing the order the images go in, even if nothing in them is different. What you can't guess from this is which way was in the script, and which modification Psu suggested and I liked.

You had this sweet little idea about a causal loop, and my first instinct was that it's zany, setting-derailing super-technology... so it only made sense if someone had found an inane commercial use for it. Which lined up nicely with them being on a trade stat...
