Getting comfortable in the cruiser. In this sequence I had to really think hard about the layout of the cockpit and other interiors.

One trick to doing those backgrounds quickly is just set up the bare-bones in the pencil stage and add a bunch of detail in the inks. This is only possible working digitally.

The icosphere was generated in Bender. This is about as sophisticated as I can get in Bender. You don't have to pay money to download and install Bender but it costs a lot of brain cells to learn how to use it.

The texture on the CUSH Icosphere was made by hand-drawing five of those triangles and then copy/rotate/distort/paste onto the other surfaces.
The Transwarp effect in the fourth panel was made with so much futzing around in Photoshop that I worry I won't be able to figure out how to do it again.
