Fantastic Dresses and Where to Find Them

So I got inspired by the the awesome costuming from Fantastic Beasts and now I'm making my own 20's style dress. So far I've patterned and cut the bodice and waistband. It will have a v-neck front and a very open back.

Teddy Complete!

The skirt is complete and the feathers are on (hand sewn, not glued!)

Skirt Progress!

So I've cut it all out and gathered the top portion to give it that cute, gentle, ruffle. Time to hem it and then attach it to the bra!

Building the Skirt!

It is now time to pattern, cut, and sew the skirt of the feathery teddy! I've never used this sheer, slippery, fabric before so fingers crossed everyone!

*wipes brow* aaaaand the panties are done! I love this shiny pink spandex! It was exactly what I needed! I got very lucky at the fabric store the other day. They had everything I wanted 🌸

Hey everyone! The pattern for the Fembot panties has been created! Ta-da!!! Not to cut out the fabric and sew :)

Yay! The bra turned out great! Moving on to the panties.

Jubbly Progress!

What goes boom boom? Apparently robot boobies! With great care, I'm going to place dots of hot glue on the bra then attach the feathers. Also... always have a hot calming drink before working with something potentially messy. (See Slytherin Tea Latte above)

The Fabric Is Bought!

The fabric for my fabulous Fembot cosplay has been found and bought!!! As you can see, there's fabric for a pink Fembot and a purple Fembot... does that mean double trouble???

X-23 Progress

Finished the base of the belt today! This was an easy fix using some plastic rings I bought from Joanne's and shaping some chainmail rings with a pair of pliers.

So Close... and Yet....

Nooooo I ran out of grommets! Going to have to order some more if I want to finish this long-time forgotten project. I'm determined to get it done!
