I've been experimenting with relative line weight a lot recently. As part of that process, I was periodically checking the low-res results on the lines for the most recent comic (as of this point - http://www.egscomics.com/?id=2032 ).
In short, I saved th...

WIP Sketchbook. I ink the outlines first, as those are more consistently heavy lines and help make the rest of the inking go faster. I realized this basically gave me silhouettes by default, so... Yeah. This exists now.

I accidentally hid the layer with all the colors and thought "hey, that looks nifty". So here we go!
Incidentally, WIP = "Work In Progress". Pretty common knowledge these days, but I get annoyed when people use acronyms that I don't know, so I may as well establish that now for future reference.

I probably drew more detail than was strictly necessary given how large she was in the EGS:NP comic itself, but hey, now you get to see a closeup of the inks!

I would like to sincerely apologize for how horribly behind schedule I've managed to get over the last couple of months with sketchbooks.
With recent schedule changes, the commentaries for December wrapped up, and some improvements personal matters, I intend to complete the sketchbooks in earnest, posting as many as possible on...

1080 height version of a sketchbook will be on the site soon!
EDIT - And I meant soon - http://www.egscomics.com/sketchbook.php?id=850
The 1080 version you can get here will be a $3+ exclusive for at least a day, probably longer.

Good idea, voice in my head!

Simon wanted an all male wallpaper (well, ALMOST all male), and was welling to pledge over the course of three months for it. He considers this a Christmas present to the fandom and very kindly threw an enormous brick at me to remind me to merge the various sketc...

With the last batch of Sketchbooks finally unleashed upon the world, if anyone knows what they want for their sketchbook rewards at this point, the sooner the better. I know for some of you already, though I'll likely want to double check if I heard from you a while ago.

I will be unleashing the sketchbooks on the site itself on Monday. I intend to finish them before then, however, and will post at least a few here for $3+ patrons over the weekend. There will be 17 in total.

Also, EGS:NP in the afternoon, because I foolishly planned to finish that AFTER the sketchbooks.
Firstly, I want to apologize for the delay, and I especially want to apologize to those who were generous enough to make sketchbook requests.
November was not a good month for getting sketchbooks done in a timely manner. I had trou...

I'm scheming to EVENTUALLY (like, probably not until sometime in 2015) merge the 75, 100, and 150 rewards into a single tier. The amount contributed doesn't have to match the reward level, so I figure having just the $75 tier with additional options depending on how much the real amount is is the most efficient way to handle it ...

Okay, the way it works means I can reduce the limits without auto-booting people from that tier, so it can just gradually reduce over time, which I'm fine with :)

Due to simply having way too much of a workload, I'm planning to reduce the amount of available rewards each month. I need to gracefully figure out exactly how to do that, however, as every reward tier is currently filled to its limit, and they tend to only remain open for about a half hour before someone fills the open slot.
G...

If people want the rest of the Vs splash panels from that comic, I'll add them later. This is my personal favorite of the four. Sarah's pose is meant to be something right out of Yu-Gi-Oh!, while Sam is... Actually, I'm not sure what he's doing. Maybe he's a fan of Gambit from The X-Men?
