-every fold is essentially a pipe/cylinder
-all folds interact because they're a part of the same fabric

Loose Drapery Studies
A few drawing studies and a couple tips:
-never space your folds evenly
-always vary fold sizes
-folds are basically tapering and curving cylinders, and they cast shadows!

The big takeaway from these is the way the index finger tends to stand out and raise above the other fingers while gripping, and also the way the gripping fingers conform to the curve/form of whatever they're gripping - in this case a thick rope.
