The shoot went amazing!!

I'm not sure when we'll have photos back, but I'll do my best to make sure you're the first to see them! Since I'm not the photographer for this shoot and there are a lot of other group members, I may not be able to strictly fulfill the "one week early access" perk you've officially been promised, but I'll try to make up for it ...

IT DONE

Sword!! It has its issues, but for my first prop weapon...I'm pretty pleased! OFF TO THE SHOOT! I'll make sure to post some pics from set for you guys ❤️

Sword!

Here's where Ciri's sword is at! Tomorrow morning when the paint is dry, I'll wrap the hilt and connect the pieces. It's cardboard, hot glue, electrical tape, spray paint...and some other random stuff. Including a dismantled papermate pen! 😜

Wrapping up Ciri!

I'm about to hop on a plane for a "real job"-related work conference, but by Friday I'll be in Denver, and on Sunday I'll be shooting Ciri with a big, talented Witcher group at Chief Hosa Lodge, in Golden, CO! We'll be working with

Jewels came in!

(And they match my shoes!) SO Ciri's belt is officially done, and it was the piece was most worried about! Now I get to transfer that worry onto other stuff...like her sword. Oh my god.

FINALLY! Corset is done!

The newer version fits SO much better, and is neater inside and out! I couldn't be more relieved.

Ciri corset take two -- much better so far!

Testin' dem makeups!

Styled my wig, got my rigid collodion (scarring liquid) in the mail from Arda, and tried it all out together! I love how gritty and dark this makeup look is. I need to perfect my contouring to counteract my serial babyface, but that's why we do makeup tests! To see what we need to work on! 😚

Ciri gloves!

My gloves on the left, and the gloves in the game on the right! They still need buckles and some distressing, but I'm pretty pleased with how these came out!

Ciri blouse!

Finished Ciri's blouse (except for the distressing of course) and tossed it on under a brown corset I had lying around to test out the look! I'm pretty pleased with it, and it came together really fast. One piece of the costume down, 16 to go! 😱

More Silk!

I don't know if this is just luck or if these actually look terrible and I just THINK they look great, but.... I seem to be kinda good at compositing?? I'm just waiting for this beginner's luck to run out. ;)

Meanwhile, I'm having so much fun putting my living room Silk photos on top of buildings!!
